Book Swap

Students, the 5th Annual Book Swap is an amazing opportunity for you to get "new" books for summer reading, clean out books from your home which are no longer read, and help a great cause! You may bring in books that are in good condition any day this week. Please make sure you have a form filled out and signed by a parent. The forms are online, below, and also at the main office. Your books, along with the signed form should be turned in to your classroom teacher. Then, on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, you will have the opportunity to select new-to-you books. If you bring in 20 books, but only pick out 10 books next week, the books that aren’t selected will be donated to the Belize Education Project.

Please see Mrs. Blair with any questions.

Thank you and happy reading.

 6th Grade Taking Flight

Can you believe it?  Your child's time in elementary school is coming to a close, and middle school is on the horizon!  I know anxious butterflies have started fluttering for many of you, and your children may be feeling the same way.  We at Sierra want you to know that we care about your kids and will work hard every day to take good care of them.

One of the ways we help incoming 7th graders feel prepared for middle school is through our Taking Flight transition program.  Taking Flight is a 3 day middle school orientation that takes place in July.  Through this program, students get acclimated to middle school, meet new friends, and have a lot of fun!

Program Dates

Session 1:  July 19-21 - 8:30-11:30 AM
Session 2:  July 19-21 - 12:30-3:30 PM
