The flag football teams took on Ranchview yesterday. The B and C teams came up on the short end of the score but showed a lot of improvement from the beginning to the end of the games. The A team got their first win of the season with a score of 8-0.
Last night the Mountain Ridge Rams A and B teams both won their matches against our cross town rival Ranch View in straight sets. Both teams are undefeated so far this season. Go Rams! All "C" teams played hard and aggressive against a powerful Ranchview team. The ladies ALL played volleyball in classy fashion. Practice tonight! See you Monday 10/16/18 for practice Enjoy a week long Break! Coach Sabot, Willis, Knutson and Haskell

Lasagna (the final chapter) - Between 7:25 AM and 7:30 music is often played through the intercom system here at MRMS. Very often the music being played might seem strange or unappetizing to you. No one can force you to enjoy it, but I hope you will at least give it a try. The music being played is very often from someone who is recognized as a great artist. If we go back to the food analogy I was using earlier, you can think of them as chefs who have been recognized as being among the world’s best. Going to a school where you can listen to everything from Mozart, Beethoven, and Miles Davis, to Patsy Cline, Aretha Franklin and many other music legends, is an opportunity. I hope you will at least give it a chance to make your life just a little bit richer.
The Rams keep rolling! The 8th grade football team played Castle Rock and prevailed 28-0! Great performances from our offense, defense and special teams brought the victory home. Great passing by Dylan Pless, powerful runs by Dawson Seeman and fumble recoveries by our defense and special teams paced the effort.Thank you to everyone in the Mountain Ridge community for your support!
We are reaching the home stretch for this week but first let's recap yesterday. It was great to see all the pink in the school and everyone looked awesome. The RAM that had the highest percentage of pink was Ms. Losness! Way to go guys! Breakfast will be provided sometime after break. A special shout out goes to Ms. DeAno's RAM who went above and beyond to decorate their classroom with pink, they really worked hard to represent. Finish this week strong by bringing in $1 tomorrow to wear the most crazy and cool hats! You can buy your “hat pass” starting at 7:00 a.m. in the commons. You must have a pass to be able to wear your hat all day long. Masks will not be allowed. All proceeds go to the Walk for Wishes!
October 4
Unified has their final game of the season TODAY at 5:30pm! This game will take place on the Vista fields. This is the BIG Vista/Ridge game and you don't want to miss it!
Lasagna (Part three) - Developing a taste for a wide variety of foods makes life a bit richer. You could say the same thing for the arts. A painting, theater production, dance or piece of music may seem strange or unappealing at first, so there is a temptation to push it away without giving it much of a try. But being willing to be open to giving new types of art a try can lead to a richer life. I hope you will think about that,… And yes, I’ll have more to say about this tomorrow in lasagna part four.
Sources of Strength Peer Leaders! We will be meeting in Ms. Morgan's Room, Room 139, Wednesday, October 4th during your lunch time. Please be prompt as we have a number of things to accomplish. Thanks, Your Adult Advisors.
Congratulations to the 8th grade tackle football Rams who had a tremendous effort in playing a strong game in all phases and defeating Rocky Heights B team 24-0! Kyler Nats, Ryan Kelly, Ryan Kim, Ernie Colquette, and Ryan Pless excelled in leading our team to victory.
October 3
Unified has their final game of the season on Wednesday at 5:30pm! This is the BIG Vista/Ridge game! You don't want to miss it!
Lasagna (part two) - Fortunately, I was given several more opportunities to try lasagna (and a bunch of other more sophisticated foods that I didn’t enjoy at first). Having that opportunity to develop a taste for different foods is something I’m grateful for now, because enjoying a wide variety of foods is something that makes my life a little bit richer. Can you guess where I’m headed with this? Stay tuned.
Hello, we hope you’re all having a great time with twin day! The fun doesn’t stop, because tomorrow, the 4th of October, we have a pink out! We will be doing a competition between RAM classes for who can get the most pink! You must be wearing a good amount of pink to get counted. Teachers will take your class’s percentage of pink, and the winners will receive a RAM breakfast provided by leadership. Remember the pink is restricted to clothing only so make sure you get your pink on!
Sources of Strength Peer Leaders! We will be meeting in Ms. Morgan's Room, Room 139, Wednesday, October 4th during your lunch time. Please be prompt as we have a number of things to accomplish. Thanks, Your Adult Advisors.

October 2
Hello everyone, we can see everyone is happy it’s Monday! Don’t worry though because it’s crazy sock day! We hope you’re all have a crazy time with those socks! Don’t forget that Tomorrow, the 3rd of October, is twin day! Dress up with your friend like you are twins!! You can wear the same clothes as someone else, but remember the dress code still is enforced. No hats. Speaking of hats, don't forget to bring your $1 to buy a "hat pass" in the commons at 7:00 a.m. on Friday

Lasagna (part one) - Are there any foods that you really enjoy eating now, but didn’t like at all the first time you had them? That’s how lasagna was for me. Sure I liked pizza (which had several of the same ingredients), but lasagna had all these layers with odd looking bits and pieces sticking out. Plus, it was kind of mushy when I was chewing on it. So at first I pushed it away without really giving it much of a try. I’ll be back with more on this topic tomorrow.

Unified soccer has a game at HOME today at 3:30pm on the west lawn. Come on out and cheer on our Unified athletes in their last home game of the season!

The Mountain Ridge Rams football team took on Cimarron Wednesday afternoon and came away with another powerful performance and a 32-8 victory! After taking an initial hit after a kickoff return for a touchdown, the Rams rose up and stopped Cimarron cold. The Rams responded with great offense, defense and special teams play to roar back. Touchdowns were scored by Jade Arroyo, Jacob Marlatt, and Dawson Seeman en route to a big win. Thank you all for your great support!
