Dear Parents,

Scholastic Fencing League will offer an after-school fencing program at Flagstone Elementary during the 2014 school year.

What is the Scholastic fencing League?

Our mission is to introduce the Olympic sport of fencing to students, grades 2nd and up, in a safe and fun environment, while promoting the values of character,                                         honor, integrity, strategy and athleticism.

How Does Our Program Work?

The Scholastic Fencing League offers instruction in the sport of fencing, including footwork, blade work, tactics and strategy by providing instructors for before/after-school programs which are (specially) trained in the Maestro Glon Method of Fencing.  Scholastic Fencing League offers 8-week sessions for parents enrolling their students in the program, and provides all necessary fencing equipment.

Your School will hold fencing classes for students in grades 2 and up in the Gym, Tuesdays from 4:15 pm to 5:00 pm.   Practice will start on Tuesday, January 21st.

Course Fee

The cost for the 8-week session is $125 ($15 per class plus a one-time $5 USA Fencing registration fee).    Continuation fencing classes will be offered during the school year.  Class space is limited to 24 students.

All necessary equipment (glove, mask, jacket, and sabre) will be provided.  Students should wear athletic shoes and comfortable athletic clothing, such as T-shirts and warm-up or sweatpants.

Registrations are accepted on a first come - first serve basis.  Please register your child at ScholasticFencingLeague.com.   If you have any questions, please contact me at 720-334-3578.

Thank you.
