Meet Mrs. Miller
Library Backroom

Yvonne Miller, Teacher Librarian

Mrs. Miller has been teaching in Douglas County since 1990. She has a Bachelor's degree in 
Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Yvonne received her Library 
Endorsement from CU Denver. The Colorado Association of Libraries awarded her the 2008 Colorado Librarian of the Year. She has served as the President of the Colorado 
Association of School Libraries. Douglas County School District has recognized her as an outstanding teacher. She has taught Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Mrs. Miller loves her family. She has been married for over 20 years and has a wonderful twenty year old son, an amazing cat named Sumo Kitty and a fun loving dog named Aspen.  She loves to read, tr
avel and camp with her family. She has recently taken up golf and has gotten back to mountain biking after a 15 year hiatus. Mrs. Miller has been to every continent except Africa, Antarctica and Australia. She has written a children's picture book titled, Stanley the SeaHorse, and is trying to get it published.
