Capstone Handbook
Capstone is an ongoing learning process that requires students to complete a Student Success Plan (SSP) from 9th grade through 11th grade, and culminates with an oral project presentation in a student’s senior year of high school. This project is used as an assessment that allows students to demonstrate their ability to design and participate in a multi-phased, research or career-based learning process or assessment of academic growth. This experience prepares students for their future in higher education, technical institutions, or the workforce. Click here to view the handbook, which will detail all of the information you need to know and help guide you through the process.

Compass Learning
Compass Learning is a learning acceleration company that meets students where they are: to deliver the right content for the right student at the right time. They work hard to ensure that the student experience with their software is positive and welcoming. Lessons utilize a conversational tone, colorful graphics, interesting animations, and other meaningful uses of multimedia to keep them engaged. Click here to head on over to the Compass Learning website!

CSDNB Core Values and Responsibilities
Students, parents/guardians, and school employees are expected to read the Core Values and Responsibilities document and become familiar with its content. The primary objective of the Consolidated School District of New Britain is to enhance each student’s potential for learning and to foster positive interpersonal relationships. The Consolidated School District of New Britain (CSDNB) supports the concept that students who possess personal, academic, civic and occupational competencies will become effective and productive citizens. Students must develop and accept the responsibilities and obligations of citizenship. This document helps students understand how to take control of their own learning and to positively affect outcomes by employing appropriate personal choices and skills. To view the entire document, please click here.
