Junior ROTC Program

The Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, responsibility and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. Its focus is to provide a stimulus for promoting graduation from high school, success in the community and promoting the mission statement “To motivate young people to be better citizens.” 

To accomplish this goal, the course combines instruction and extracurricular activities oriented to attain an awareness of the rights, responsibilities and privileges of citizenship, developing the students’ sense of personal responsibility, building life skills, and providing leadership opportunities. No JROTC student is under any obligation to join the military. 

Here are the courses we offer for this program:
  • Course 8R1 - Junior ROTC 1 for grades 9, 10, 11 and 12  | Accelerated Level | 1 Credit
  • Course 8R2 - Junior ROTC 2 for grades 10, 11 and 12  | Accelerated Level | 1 Credit
  • Course 8R3 - Junior ROTC 3 for grades 11 and 12  | Honors Level | 1 Credit
  • Course 8R4 - Junior ROTC 4 for grade 12  | Honors Level | 1 Credit
