Judy Greco, longtime educator and Board of Education member, passes away
It is with deep sadness that we announce that Judy Greco, longtime educator and Board of Education member, passed away early this morning. She was a longtime educator in New Britain, beginning her career at Smalley Elementary School in the early 1960s, and then systematically working her way up, until her retirement in 1995. New Britain Board of Education accepts Superintendent’s Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018
The New Britain Board of Education has accepted Superintendent Nancy Sarra’s proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018, which calls for a 0.85 percent increase from 2016-2017. The budget, which is a $1 million increase from last year, totals $127 million, with approximately $88 million going towards personnel costs. Click here to read our news release with more details

Smalley Elementary School - Teacher Appreciation Video
Just about everyone loves being recognized and appreciated for their hard work. At Smalley Elementary School, Franco Cartiera (Media Specialist) and Danielle Medeiros (Teacher), put together a video of students talking about how much they appreciated their teachers. Family Information Night to be held at Pulaski Middle School on January 19
On Thursday, January 19 at 6 PM, Pulaski Middle School will hold Family Information Night for incoming sixth grade students. Families will have the opportunity to meet Mr. Fernandes, Principal of Pulaski and learn what Pulaski has to offer - both in and out of the classroom.  They'll also have a chance to tour the school. Pulaski Middle School is located at 757 Farmington Avenue.
