Hoping to creating a better line of communication between administrators and the community, the school district has been hosting open forums to give parents, guardians and the public a chance to connect with educators. The district held its first forum in October with a few dozen parents, staff and students in attendance. CSDNB holds Family/Community Forum to discuss safety and discipline
Posted on December 21, 2018

At our most recent Family/Community Forum, we discussed the topic of safety and discipline throughout CSDNB. Those in attendance not only spoke about physical safety, but also emotional safety. During the discussion regarding discipline, many spoke of restorative practices and also self-discipline.

The question of how we can ensure that best practices are consistently followed throughout the district so our students are receiving the best possible education in a safe environment was discussed. CSDNB administration has already started to work on follow-up action and will continue to update those in attendance at future forums.

Our next Family/Community Forum will be held on Monday, January 14 at 6 PM at Lincoln Elementary School. We hope to see you there!

As we pursue excellence one student at a time, the Consolidated School District of New Britain, in partnership with family and community, works to provide the best personalized and comprehensive whole-child education so our students will be prepared for, and positively contribute to, a profoundly different future
