Jackie's time at BBCCC began in 2002, as a WSU student volunteer in the Kindergarten Enrichment program. Shortly after her volunteer experience, she became a support teacher, primarily, the Kindergarten support teacher.
Upon graduation, Jackie became the Lead AM Preschool teacher and continued that for 9 years. Aside from teaching, she was administrative support, under the former director and eventually became the Curriculum Specialist and then, the Program Supervisor.
Jackie graduated from Washington State University. Originally majoring in Secondary Health & Fitness Education, she received her B.S. in Kinesiology through the College of Education. After graduating from W.S.U, she attended Spokane Falls Community college taking a year-long Early Childhood seminar. Jackie is currently working on her MBA through Western Governor's University.
Jackie held a certification as a Toddler and Pre-K CLASS observer, in effort to educate her teachers on positive child/teacher interactions within BBCCC. She formerly served as the Palouse Area Association for the Education of Young Children and conference committee member of "How Does Your Garden Grow?" Jackie also served as a mentor instructor to WSU Human Development student teachers in their final semester.
Jackie is a wife and a mother to two children, who have gone through the program and are now students at Franklin Elementary and Lincoln Middle School. Jackie's husband, Justin, is active behind the scenes as well as working as a sales consultant for another Pullman small business, Wysup Chysler Jeep Dodge Ram.
