About Me

Tad Oman

Math Teacher

Concordia University - Master of Arts in Teaching with a Secondary Education Focus
Linfield College - Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics

I have been teaching for twelve years, eleven at Prairie High School. Courses that I have taught include Algebra, Algebra Support, Geometry, Modeling Our World with Math, Algebra II, Advanced Algebra/Trig, Advanced Math Topics, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus BC.  In addition to teaching, I have seven years high school coaching experience. I have coached football, boys lacrosse, and girls lacrosse. I am also currently the advisor for Prairie High School's Key Club.

I was born and raised in Utah. I moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1996 to attend college, and I loved it here so much that I have never left. Before I became a teacher, I worked for five years as an Actuary at a large insurance corporation in Portland. In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my wife and daughter.
