INTRODUCTION

Today I am going to talk to you about Tiger Rattlesnake. Tiger Rattlesnake has more extensive cross banding than any other western rattlesnake. Tiger Rattlesnake is found in Arizona at elevations ranging from about 1,000 feet to 5,000 feet. His meal consists of mice, other small mammals, and lizards. He injects venom through my long, hollow, retractable fangs which he uses to kill my prey.  He is 35 inches in total length. The colors on his body are peach and orange. His tiger style bands are formed by dark scales and small dark flecks across his back. Tiger Rattlesnake’s neck is slender and my triangular head is very small relative to the size of his body. Tiger Rattlesnake matting takes place during the summer monsoon. After one year in summer up to 6 babies are born. Fun Fact! About Tiger Rattlesnake  have a heat-sensitive sensory organ on each side of his head that enables him to locate warm-blooded prey and strike accurately, even in the dark.
