Twin-spotted Rattlesnake

WHO AM I?
Hi! I am the twin-spotted rattlesnake.

WHERE DO I LIVE?
I live in higher altitudes like the mountain ranges of Arizona in the pine and oak forests. I am usually found on steep rocky slopes and rocky outcrops but sometimes in flatter open forest or canyon bottoms.

WHAT DO I EAT?
I eat lizards, small rodents, and birds. I am also known to eat other snakes. I use my long, hollow, retractable fangs that are venom injected to kill my prey.

HOW DO I LOOK?
I am a small blue-gray, gray, or gray-brown rattlesnake with two rows of small, dark blotches running down my back. The part closest to my rattle is
orange. I can reach up to 26 inches long and my head is huge, broad and shaped like a triangle.

HOW DO I REPRODUCE?
Mating season is in the summer and we can have a litter of nine in summer. Baby rattlesnakes can reach up to eight inches when born.

FUN FACT ABOUT ME?
I am dangerous and i'm capable of delivering potent venom! Scary!
