 What are Hohokam Petroglyphs?
Hohokam Petroglyphs, also known as Hohokam Rock Art, are drawings on rock created by the Hohokam Indians that lived in the area in the past. Hohokam Petroglyphs can be found in all the mountain ranges surrounding the Salt River Valley, the McDowell Mountains, Superstition Mountains, White Tank Mountain, Phoenix Mountains, and especially in the South Mountain Park and Preserve. |
