Grade 3 - Lesson Plan

This would be happening on a field trip to the Botanical Gardens in Arizona. I would give each student a pair of bonoculars, a bird identification book, , a notebook, and a pencil. Then I would pair them up for a bit of bird watching. They would then identify the kinds of birds they saw at the botanical gardens and write down in their notebooks what birds they saw. After the field trip, when they return, they would then research the birds they saw on the field trip. They would then write a simple essay on the animals they saw and then turn it in for a grade.
