About Me
My name is Christina Cunningham and I am an Early Childhood Education major at Arizona State University. My husband and I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in January of 2011 from our hometown, Brooklyn, New York. As a child and young adult, I danced ballet and jazz professionally in New York City. During my teenage years, I was given the opportunity to teach ballet and jazz to young children ages 3-5 years old. It was during this time when I realized how much joy teaching brought to my life, and began to consider it as a potential career path. After I made my move to Arizona, I enrolled at Arizona State University and I am now on my way toward earning my degree in early education. Children inspire me greatly, and are the men and women of our future. My goal is to one day be able to create a safe and effective learning environment for them and inspire them to reach their full potential. I am currently training to run a half marathon in the P.F Chang's Rock n Roll Marathon in honor of a patient at the Phoenix Children's Hospital. The marathon is on January 15th, 2012. After meeting my honor patient Andrew, I am more inspired than ever before to work hard and make a difference in any way that I can in the lives of young children.
