Welcome to 2nd grade! My name is Kylene Hammer, and this is my fourteenth year at REAMS. All fourteen years of my teaching career have been with second graders! I am so proud to be part of the growing and evolving Rockford school district and community! 

           I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Minor in Spanish. I completed my Masters of Arts in Education through the University of St. Mary's. I live with my husband, 3 kids, Bode (7), Norah (5), Callan (2), and Golden Retriever in Champlin. Much of my time outside of school is spent having fun with my kids, taking walks and bike rides, doing crafts, and cheering on my kids' sports and activities. I also enjoy cooking, baking, traveling, weekends at the cabin, and spending time with family and friends.  

           It is always my goal to create a warm, inviting classroom community that allows everyone to be excited to be included and a part of it. I have a passion for teaching math and for working to make learning about math fun.
