I am the 2nd and 3rd grade special education case manager / CCR teacher at Brassfield Elementary School.

This is my 13th year of teaching. I'm originally from Baltimore, MD and I graduated from UMBC (University of Maryland Baltimore County) with a Political Science and Linguistics degree. While doing Teach for America in NYC, I earned my master's degree from Bank Street College of Education in childhood general and special education.

In addition to my passion for helping all kids learn, I love animals, exercise, reading, and being in nature. My pets are my #1 love -- I have a female 8 year old boxer dog named Maggie, and I just adopted a male kitten this summer named Dusty Miller!

Building strong relationships and providing engaging, multisensory instruction are my core practices. Together, we can unlock the individual genius of every child.

I look forward to a great year at Brassfield! 😎
