calm classroom

This page is meant to be a virtual resource to promote positive coping skills and to provide general psychoeducation for the Valley View School District Community and may be useful for students, staff, and families. This page is meant as an additional support, and is not meant to replace therapy or to be used in times of mental health crises. This page includes a variety of different coping skill ideas, some of which can be accessed virtually, as well as a variety of general strategies and mental health resources for those who may be looking for extra support. This page is also not meant to replace the relationship between students and their school counselors and social workers. Your school support staff is here for you!

About me

My name is Mrs. Leo (formerly Ms. Boden)! I'm one of the social workers at Romeoville High School, and in my role, I offer social/emotional support to general education students. I am available to meet with students to work on coping with uncomfortable feelings, accepting challenging situations, executive functioning, and fostering motivation. I try to meet with students during their home room periods when possible to minimize missed class time. To set up a session with me for yourself or for your child, email me at leocm@vvsd.org.
