SpaceWave Art Co. is the brain child of Axel Foor, an up and coming queer trans artist based out of Fort Collins, Colorado. The platform serves to showcase their art, as well as to foster community and activism through the visual arts.
About:
Axel Foor is a self-taught painter originally from Chicago, currently living in Colorado and pursuing a bachelors degree in Zoology. They started painting as a teenager in order to help them process a trauma and over the years their style has changed as they continue to develop their technique. Axel now uses painting as a tool to explore and process abstract ideas, personal issues, and other forms of art. Their work is often influenced by the music that they listen to while creating, as well as their lived experiences as a queer trans person. While much of their work is purely expressive, some of their pieces tackle social issues and aim to spread awareness.
