About the lights:
How do the lights flash to music? (2019 onwards)
The new 'pixels' are computer controlled and fully automated. Each light can be individually controlled.
How long does it take to set up?
A long time, it's hard to know as things change each year. 2021 was around 15 hours. This doesn't factor ongoing work during the year.
How tall is the Christmas tree?
2022 - present: 4m tall to the top of the tree cone. Another 0.6m for the star.
2017-2021: 3m tall to the top of the tree cone. Another 0.4m for the star.
Did you buy that Christmas tree?
No. I built the tree. All the lights seen that flash to music have special 'pixel' lights that the computer can control each light individually. All items have been created or modified.
Where did you get the snow machine from?
Surplustronics↗ (also known as Sound division). These have been modified to add functionality of low fluid shut off.

Q. When did you start this display?
A. I started when I was 8 years old, back then I only had 2 sets of lights. One of these sets was still in use until 2020.
