My name is Sara Zink and I am currently a sophomore at Montgomery County High School in Mt. Sterling, KY.  I plan on majoring in nursing.  The objective of my personal statement is to convey my interest in playing softball at the collegiate level.  The division level of that college is not overly concerning.  My desire to be on the field with the team is the ultimate goal and I will work as hard as I can to make sure I achieve it.  Along with softball, my other goal is to graduate college with a degree in nursing.  I fully understand that my academics are the main reason for attending college, but I think playing softball will enhance my college experience by creating friendships, teaching responsibility, and building character through hard work.  I know it won't be easy but I have always challenged myself both academically and athletically.  I have always taken honors classes while playing basketball, volleyball, and softball.  Although I enjoy other sports, softball is my passion.
