These maps were the result of an engaged mapping partnership with residents and leaders of Atlanta's Peoplestown community. They explore a broad range of property-mediated relationships in and through the neighborhood.
June - August 2025.
These maps were completed as part of a research assistantship at the Community Mapping Lab at UGA. They draw on a mix of archival research and community-engaged mapping, and were completed at the request of Hot Corner business owners and community members. After digitizing data from city directories, I drew on Sanborn insurance maps, aerial imagery from the 1960s, and sketch mapping interviews to create this series of reference maps.
October 2023 - April 2024.
A collaborative map of a walk along Barber Street in Athens, Georgia completed for a course in critical cartography at UGA. The goal of this map was to reject the top-down, ostensibly objective vision that many maps purport to represent. Instead, we highlighted our subjective and embodied experiences, foregrounding the sights, smells, tastes, and feelings that characterized our ground-level view of Barber Street at a particular moment in time.

Mapping housing financialization with a bivariate scheme.

Final project for UGA's Cartographic Visualization Methods course. It is a summary of the various skills and concepts I developed and studied over the course of the semester. In all, the map took me over 20 hours of work. The subway map is completely hand-drawn (and hydromorphologically inaccurate). I made the map before ever visiting Taiwan, and certainly have many updates after having lived there for a year. May 2023.
Some of the first maps I made, Spring 2023.
