The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Anxiety Disorders Laboratory (ADL) is a clinical research laboratory

established for the study of anxiety disorders. The ADL aims to conduct scientific research focused on

(a) examining anomalous cognitive-perceptual processes (e.g., information processing biases, cognitive deficits, and safety behaviors) that are suspected to contribute to the maintenance of these quite common and debilitating problems,

(b) developing or enhancing cognitive/behavioral interventions incorporating findings from basic research on cognitive processes, and (c) examining various cognitive/behavioral factors related to the process of fear reduction.
