ESTABLISHED IN 2010 IN BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA.
WE ENJOY PLAYING THE UKULELE AND SINGING SONGS.

Uke club meetings at the Monroe County Public Library, 303 E. Kirkwood Avenue, Sundays in room 2C from 1–3pm on these dates:

3 March

17 March

7 April—NO MEETING.

21 April

5 May—ELLEN WILL BE ABSENT.

19 May

Even though we are allowed to make noise in there, we need to be sure to keep the door closed—close it behind you during arrival and departure.

Masks are optional.

PARKING:  Free on Sundays. Library has a parking lot. There is also a lot on Lincoln and Sixth, just west of the library's lot.  Free parking at Poplar's garage on Sixth and Dunn (entrance is on Sixth Street, near the Runcible Spoon.) Remember if there is a downtown event such as the International Festival or Fourth Street Festival, you may need to come early to find parking or park in the Poplar's garage. Note that in summer, Kirkwood Avenue is usually blocked off to vehicles from Walnut to Dunn, so that restaurants may offer on-street dining.

Generally, we meet first and third Sundays at the Monroe County Public Library, 303 E Kirkwood Ave.

Recommended book (not just for club, but it's a great resource): The Daily Ukulele: 365 Songs for Better Living.
Available in large and small bound sizes as well as in baritone tuning on Amazon or sometimes at a music store.

All skill levels are welcome, but in order to get the most out of a meeting, it's best to be comfortable with an array of basic chords. Ukulele lessons are not provided at club meetings.

The chord sheets we sometimes use are in GCEA tuning, so if you play a baritone ukulele, you will need to be extremely familiar with your chord formations, which will be DGBE for the baritone uke. Feel free to bring song sheets to share with the group, bringing around 10 copies on average.
