ABOUT the conference on “stems”

RISER organizes a series of national conferences on the "Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Sustainability (STEMS).” The theme for the second 2016 STEMS Conference is "STEM for Environmental & Social Sustainability."

ABOUT the RISER

RISER stands for Razak Institution of Skills, Education and Research. RISER is a registered charity in India; registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

To develop the interest of young researchers for undertaking studies and research in the frontiers of science, technology, engineering, mathematics for sustainability.

To give an opportunity to participants for understanding the new developments through invited talks by eminent scientists and technologists.

To provide a platform for multidisciplinary communication, networking and intensify collaborations between scientists, policy makers and industries

• To deliberate on the recent developments and trends in “Sustainability and the use of STEM for Sustainability.”

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS WITH ISBN

Accepted research papers from oral/poster presentations, invited talks and industrial presentations will be published in the form of proceedings (with International Standard Book Number-ISBN) and will be made available to all the delegates / participants.

Certificates will be issued to the attendees and the presenters.

♦ It offers national, interdisciplinary, and scholarly brain-storming discussions on environmental, socio-economic and STEM based sustainability endeavours of human beings.

♦ It strives to inculcate a new sustainability approach of looking at things around us.

Nanded, located on the banks of Godavari river, is a city in Marathwada division of the Maharashtra State of India

Nanded has been a major place for Sikh pilgrimage, Hazur Sahib Nanded is the second holiest site in Sikhism next only to Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) of Amritsir.  

Nanded (acronym NED; fondly known as Hazur Sahib Nanded) is one of the division of South Central Railways. It is well connected by railways and is located between Mudkhed (Junction) and Purna (Junction). 

Nanded's airport, the Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Airport is typically served by regularly scheduled seasonal flights to Mumbai and Delhi. The other nearest airports are Aurangabad (Maharashtra) and Hyderabad (Telangana). The city of Nanded is rapidly becoming an educational hub of the region.

      *   Registration fees is non-refundable and includes                          conference kit, lunch every day & tea (two times a day).

  ** Delegates from the drought-hit areas of Maharashtra are given 25% discounted registration

    ♦  The author(s) will bear an additional INR 1000 

          as printing charge per research paper published

          Only the accepted research papers will be published                       in the proceedings (with ISBN).

    ♦  An additional late fee of INR 500 will be charged 

          if registered after 29 February 2016

    ♦  Accommodation charges should be borne by the                   

          participants. Committee members can help delegates find 

          accommodation.

The program will be selected from the abstracts by the committee made up of researchers from the prestigious institutes and universities.
