Welcome to Shih Tzu Made with Love!

I am a small breeder of AKC and CKC Shih Tzu in the Dallas, Texas area.  All of my puppies will come to their new homes EXTREMELY spoiled and loved.  All of my puppies have great dispositions and strong champion bloodlines (39 AKC champion titles in the past 8 generations!).  Please feel free to take a look at our family!

Today's Precious Moment  (5/12/12):

Our Saturday mornings start nice and early...as soon as the sun is up, Winnie is up!  While Mommy drinks coffee on the couch and snuggles with Lillie and Mazie...Gus, Winnie, Bliss, and Callie play with their toys!

Then Miss Bliss got sleepy so she got on the couch to snuggle and clean Mazie...She is such a little Mommy already.  I can't wait to see her with her babies!

4/28/12:
We got a new couch and everyone loves to snuggle on it!
Lillie is very happy that her bed is in the corner and NO ONE can bother her! (you can see her little ears in the first picture...)

Today's Precious Moment (2/21/12):

Winnie was very sweet and snuggly after my knee surgery!  What a sweet girl!

Today's Precious Moment (2/18/12):

3 of my past puppies, Lillie (was "Lacey," a Lola and Gus pup), Lucy (her sister, a Lola and Gus pup), and Lola (pictured above, a Mazie and Gus pup) competed for best costume at the McKinney Dog Parade together as "pioneers" and got 2nd place!  Great job girls!!!  All 3 of these girls live with wonderful families that are friends in McKinney.

Today's Precious Moment (2/11/12):

'

Gus (sorry he needed a haircut at this time..) and "his" pet guinea pig, Buddy.

Today's Precious Moment (12/21/11):

Look!  Max's red coat coloring looks just like my Winnie's coat color!  Two peas in a pod!  He is going to be one HANDSOME boy...I also LOVE how Winnie's coat is growing out.  She is a gigantic fluff ball.  That would have to be the number one best seller for Pam Crump's puppies...their coats are unbelievable.

Today's Precious Moment (11/12/11):

We had a great time playing outside for the very first time!     .....And then we got sleepy!

Today's Precious Moment (9/3/11):

Bliss and Lillie in their car seat on their way to watch the LSU game with me!  As you can tell, Lillie is not very happy because she wants to be in my lap.

Today's Precious Moment (7/17/11):

Lucy's playtime with Daddy quickly changed to bathtime...

First the face...now the ears...

Bathtime is just so relaxing...

Bathtime quickly changed to naptime...

Mazie and Gus "sitting up" and Gus "speaking" on 3/23/11
(He has the most amazing tail and it's only going to get better over the next 6 months!)

When you are looking for a puppy and a reputable breeder, please beware of the "imperial shih tzu."  NO REPUTABLE breeder of Shih Tzu would try to breed for smaller than the AKC standard size which is 9-16 lbs.  Mazie is 9.3 lbs. and is tiny as it is.  IF a puppy seems to be growing at a rate in which they possibly could be smaller as an adult, they should be sold with spay/neuter contract.  A lot of people breed for this and label them "imperial shih tzu" and ask for much higher costs.  For example, Lola was sold to me as an "imperial" before I had really done enough research to understand that this was wrong and what an "imperial" she turned out to be...Ha, all 11-12 lbs. of her...You can probably guess I wouldn't recommend her breeder, but I will say she actually is wonderful when it comes to AKC breed standards.  So it all works out in the end.  Also, be very careful with puppies and adult dogs labeled as blues.  It is better if you can see them in person, but if you can't look very closely at the nose, lips, pads, and eye color last.  I have seen many on puppy find and other sources that are not true blues over the years.  Moral of these stories....BREEDERS will LIE so be careful.
