Gemma Peters, Make Up Artist.
A Bit About What I Do...
Well, as the title says, I'm a Make Up Artist and, basically, I do my best to make people look and, more importantly, feel beautiful. I am Kent based so cover all of Kent and surrounding areas. I will however travel to any location to suit my Clients.
I cover most aspects of Make Up Artistry, ranging from subtle, understated day time looks to full on evening glam, from proms and weddings to high fashion editorial.
I am also able to offer Facials, which can be done as a treat, part of your skin care routine, or even incorporated into your Make Up Appointment.
I also offer Make Up Tutorials, either on a one-to-one basis or a small group session.
At this time I am unable to do "Special Effects" make up, but this is something I am hoping to add to my arsenal at a later date.
At the current time, January 2012, I am a "self-taught" Make Up Artist. However, although the industry tends to look at the work you can do first and then the qualifications I personally want to make sure that, if my work is good enough, I have a qualification to back me up. For that reason I am currently studying my BTEC Level 2, Intermediate Certificate in Designing & Applying Make Up. The Course itself offers a 12 month support period so I am hoping that, by the end of 2012, I will be a fully qualified Make Up Artist and then who knows where the wind will take me..
