Redcloud Peak
Access from Lake City, CO:

Right onto Lake San Cristobal Road to road closure
Casey McCoy and I biked up from road closure to just above the Grizzly & Siver Creek Trailhead. We stashed our bikes and hiked about 300‘ further. We then stashed our shoes and began skinning up Silver Creek, then the South Fork of Silver Creek and up to Sunshine Peak. We skied its northeast face. The snow was firm up top, then became perfect corn.
Elevation: ~1,130‘
We skinned back up to the ridge connecting Sunshine and Redcloud and followed the ridge to Redcloud Peak. We skied its northeast face down to down into Silver Creek. The snow was consistently firm up top longer than it was on Sunshine, but eventually got powdery, then became corn.
