Road to Convict Lake

I hiked along the Convict Trail to consistent snow near the gauging station, then continued on skis towards Mildred Lake, Lake Wit-So-Nah-Pah, Lake Constance and finally the North Couloir of Red Slate Mountain. I booted up the couloir, then the short distance to the summit. I was able to ski from the summit, but the snow was highly variable; deep, wind-affected powder to a variety of crusts.
