This may not be the easiest way to climb Gore Mountain, but it utilizes the Silver Creek Trail. Gore Mountain & Dirt Benchmark are the only 2 named peaks in the Sarvis Creek Wilderness. I left the trail after crossing a minor creek feeding Silver Creek & continued up the south ridge of Gore Mountain. The bushwhacking was not too bad & the rocky summit provided some scrambling & an old register.
